At long last, a new photoessay: Colin
Kent's Urban China. Shot over the
course of August 2004, Colin's photos are a passing glance at the
urban melee of China and Hong Kong: the neon of Kowloon; the mist of
Kunming; the sterility of Pudong juxtaposed against the raucous
Bund; Beijing's ancient hutongs and giant roads.

Free
Roadsworth!
MONDAY,
DECEMBER 13, 2004 - CHRISTOPHER DEWOLF
If you live in Montreal, you
might be familiar with the work of
Roadsworth. Over the past several months, the stencil
artist has created some of the city's most engaging, humourous
and inventive graffiti. But Roadsworth's work is in jeopardy:
last week, he was arrested on 85 counts of mischief. We're
still waiting on news from his first court appearance earlier
today, but if the charges stick, Roadsworth could face a
severe fine or even jail time.
Chris Hand, the owner of
Zeke's Gallery, has launched a
campaign to free Roadsworth. Fight the criminalization of
street art and do what you can to help!
