Vancouver's alleys are spectacular. They are long, wet, spanned by haphazard utility wires. Dumpters and the raw, exposed backs of buildings; graffiti galore. The X-Files, when it was filmed here, loved them.

Once every so often, exploring the alleys, you'll stumble across somebody shooting up or a sad, weary soul resting against a building.
