    I like your highlighting of the old u-bahn overpasses; they reall bring a charismatically masculine, industrial quality to berlin that makes it feel more akin to the upper midwest than its kindred european capitals.

    I love those elevated railroads. Not only are they very photogenique, they also provide an unbeatable urban feel. I haven’t been to the upper midwest, but I’m sure I’d like it! :)
