Made me think of Bank Street in Ottawa for some reason – maybe near Sommerset. Also kind of looks like Yonge Street in Toronto – just south of Bloor – although you would rarely see so much stucco. Edmonton also came to mind eventhough I haven’t been there for 17 years. But I understand this is Melbourne as one of its flickr tags gave it away (ha, I cheated).

About 5 minutes before taking the photo I caught the tail end of a conversation where someone mentioned they thought Elizabeth St (pictured) reminded them of Yonge St.
I was just testing that theory, that’s all :)

I must admit before I looked closley I did think it was Yonge Street. The architecture, if not the building materials, is similar.
