I'd have thought the car parked on the left hand side of the street would be a giveway!

We're a tought crowd here --- and besides, the phone number on the Thai place is a dead giveaway!

I must admit before I looked closley I did think it was Yonge Street. The architecture, if not the building materials, is similar.

About 5 minutes before taking the photo I caught the tail end of a conversation where someone mentioned they thought Elizabeth St (pictured) reminded them of Yonge St.

I was just testing that theory, that's all :)

Well it's obviously Melbourne... but now you have to explain to us the Canadian connection.

Made me think of Bank Street in Ottawa for some reason - maybe near Sommerset. Also kind of looks like Yonge Street in Toronto - just south of Bloor - although you would rarely see so much stucco. Edmonton also came to mind eventhough I haven't been there for 17 years. But I understand this is Melbourne as one of its flickr tags gave it away (ha, I cheated).

I'm saying Oz too, maybe Sydney? The Thai take-away is the hint.
