Another thanks for the trip down Memory Lane. I lived here from 1966-1979, on Lorne Crescent, Hutchinson, Sherbrooke, and Pine, and used to know all of the back alleys really well (can still find them when we come home from Boston for a visit). Used to know Lucy and Adrian too. This was the place to be in the heydays of the 60s.

Ah yes, so it was your friend. I was trying to remember who told me that!

One of the things that impresses me most about the reverse bike lane is that extends until Aylmer. This seems to indicate that the city actually had people observing the behaviour of cyclists, most of whom ride along Milton only for one or two blocks before turning off on Lorne or Aylmer. This seems quite a departure from some other planning decisions.

Thanks for the nice piece Chris. I too was pleasantly surprised with the reverse-direction bike-lane on Milton. Finally - after all these years of racing two blocks in the reverse direction so that I could turn onto Lorne.... The city seems to finally be becoming more aware that bicycles don't necessarily travel the same way that cars do!

And once again, you took a great shot of a friend of mine looking out the window with his son!

Thanks for the trip down memory lane. Durocher Street between Milton and Prince Arthur was my stomping ground for a year during my BA. As a local, I was definitely a visible minority.
