    Ah, but the mystery is part of the fun!

    This is the Royal Highland Regiment’s Black Watch doing some drills outside of their armoury on Bleury Street. I assume these are all cadets, but I’m not sure why some of them are in uniform but others aren’t.

    The Canadian military is pretty Scottish in its traditions, as you can tell by the kilt. There’s a lot of bagpipe-playing that goes on. I wonder what the people in the apartment buildings next door think about that…

    Actually, a friend of mine does live next door. I’ll ask…but she’s never made a comment about it. Maybe she likes bagpipe?

    Similar to ROTC in the states?
