I used to live in the 4th floor of that tall building in the corner of Sherbrooke and Decarie. That corner is probably one of the noisiest intersections in Montreal with cars getting in and off of the highway in huge numbers almost every hour of the day. It was a nightmare. That plus high rent and poor maintainance in the building did the trick. I couldn’t stand it and moved out of that place as soon as I could.
The store in the picture, “Marché Exotica”, is great. The owner is a very friendly lebanese guy with more than 15 years of running the place.
