This reminds me of my passing through Kowloon Tong, one evening after dusk.
These pictures were taken in the same neighbourhood where you took yours. They are pretty much luxury love hotels, where people would drive their BMW below a tent, as to protect their identity.

Yeah, the area next to the MTR is very strange, full of exclusive daycares, private schools and love hotels.
