The bottom one looks like an apartment complex, but what about the top? Or is this the same building?

Two different buildings built in the early stages of Saint Roch’s revitalization in the mid 90s, about 200m apart from each other. They were built as low-rent lofts for artists. The bottom one is supposed to represent a ship. I don’t know what the top one represents.
