Laine Tam was born in Danbury, Connecticut, a small town in which she lived for two weeks before jetting off to her real hometown, Hong Kong, where she lived for the next eleven years. In 1995, Laine and her family moved to Vancouver, where she led a happy teenaged life on the mountainsides of the North Shore. Then, in 2002, Laine moved to Montreal to study biology at McGill University. With her degree fresh in hand, Laine is now pursuing her studies at McGill’s School of Environment, where she hopes to develop her ideas on urban ecology and local environmental issues. Laine has been photographing as a hobby for several years.
